AUTISM ASSESSMENTS

Autism Assessments: Text

Autism is a highly challenging condition that impacts on every person differently. We provide face-to-face assessments, and are equipped to identify autism so children can go on to lead fulfilling lives.  Every young person will perceive the world and themselves differently to other people, and the impact this has can be variable from person to person.

We provide gold standard assessments that fully meet the NICE guidelines where we explore, consider and engage with a variety of people to gain a full understating of a child. We will conduct an initial screening of information gathered, undertake a clinical interview with parent/carer (ADI-R), complete the autism diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS-2), school observation, multi-agency review meeting, feedback meeting and a written report.

All our practitioners who provide autism assessments have undertaken specialist training, which is reviewed and closely monitored.

We provide ongoing support following an assessment and can continue to work with networks around children if required.
